Good triumphs over evil via a penalty shoot-out in Scotland. I only listened in on the wireless but it sounded like Sinisalo had a good game, although Rangers missed two of their penalties without his intervention, and he should have saved the two they scored. According to commentators that is.

A return to the bad old days on the pitch afterwards.

One game they had with a full away allocation. That'll be gone for at least a decade, now.

BBC Scotland headline : Fans from both teams swam pitch after Celtic beat Rangers 4-2 on penalties.

They must have overwatered the playing surface at half-time.

I watched it and despite all the histrionics afterwards it was handbags really apart from flares being thrown.

Don’t like Celtic because of their supporters but can’t find any sympathy for Rangers either.

From how it sounded on the radio there was a real chance of a proper tear up but both sets of fans seemed to shit themselves.

It was the modern thing of going up to police lines and being brave. It wasn’t like the real dark days at all. There was never going to be a real confrontation.

Exaggerated it a bit,no fans attacking eachother, but one of the Celtic coaching staff assaulted, Rangers Union Bears entered the pitch wearing Spiderman masks, the police sprayed them with insecticide and soon solved the issue

Yeah, not much happened apart from the Union Bears running onto the pitch. Probably could have been prevented if the Ibrox stewards weren't about as effective as Iran's air defences.

I was surprised that the insecticide worked on arachnids.

The Green Brigade are banned from purchasing tickets, however, seems like fans managed to get in and open a gate so hundreds of them got in. Given that loads of fans were then standing in areas without seats it was pretty much guaranteed that they were going to end up on the pitch at some point if they started celebrating and it seems to be celebration rather than intent to commit violence as to why Celtic fans were on there. Then "Rangers" fans invaded the pitch to get at them, threw a few fireworks and did a lot of "haud me back" posturing.

Sounds like could easily have been prevented by better stewarding by the away turnstiles and by cordoning off the front few rows in the Celtic end.

Still, if I was a Celtic fan who had waited ten years to get a decent ticket allocation at Ibrox I'd probably be pissed off that a load of banned twats will probably prevent it happening again for another decade. Likewise, the balaclava wearing "Rangers" twats have ensured that they won't be getting a decent allocation at Parkhead anytime soon.

Horrendous goalkeeping by the Norwich keeper gifts Leeds the lead but luckily VAR has found a handball to save his blushes.

You can see how Norwich are below Small Heath. Woeful team.

Didn’t they knock us out en route to the final?

I'd forgotten that. Beat us in a replay at VP. From recollection, we'd been 2-0 up at the Dell before conceding two late goals.

It was 1-1.

Ah. In which case, I think Saints equaliser was a last minute one.

I know. That's the first time that either away side have been able to have such a big allocation for a decade. It'll probably be the last time for another decade.
