Baggies drop into the relegation zone as it stands.

That's awful news.

I can think of two good reasons for no Baggies/Spurs fixture next season.

They won't go down. They won't allowed to.

They should be relegated if only for that ridiculous song their fans sing.

Didn't they nick it from Southampton? Or did I dream this.

I'm not into this corruption suggestion that's going round...I think we've just been shit. But once again, I've had to watch one of those fuckers get yet another penalty that we don't. Football as we all know it is gone.

What penalty?

Salah, looked offside, standing offside, goal counts, Who's have thought.

Can't be offside if behind the ball, and even without the lines that looked the case.

I read a headline yesterday that if they do go down, it will be one of the biggest clubs ever to get relegated.

They were relegated in 1977.

They're bigger now than they were in 1977. So is everyone, arguably, due to exponential growth of the top flight worldwide. The statement doesn't seem particularly shocking to me. In terms of trophies won up to the date of relegation, I think Vlla 2016 are the biggest club ever to go down. Man United 1975 and Villa 1936 probably the biggest in terms of their standing at the time. Tottenham would certainly be near the top of the list.

I am very impressed with Nigel Clough's 28 years as football manager at 4 different clubs without moving home.
