Donyell is a step above anything we have as strikers.

Except he didn't show that when he played for us

Except for when he did. It's not like he was Guessand.

When did he? Guessand didn't look a PL footballer, that's besides the point in any case.

I think he proved that he was a good finisher at Villa in the limited chances he had, give him the ball in the right areas and play to his strengths and he’s a real asset. Roma seem to be doing that.

I hope he does really well, and if he does it doesn't mean he'd do the same in our team under Unai. And overall he'll be playing against weaker sides than he would in the PL. And imagine saying to anyone 30+ years ago that Serie A would be nowhere near as strong as the English top flight.

Now he's scored a second, a penalty. And subbed off after scoring it.

Serie A is monumentally shit though. Rasmus Hjolund is the second top scorer, Keinan Davis is 3rd.

Højland is joint second, Davis is joint seventh.

Tyreece John-Jules, who scored Kilmarnock's opener today, is the nephew of Danny John-Jules aka Cat.

Malen is playing alongside Dybala at Roma.  This allows him to be the fox in the box whilst Dybala does most the linking and running the channels.  Our system expects one player to do all those tasks.

Malen wasn't good enough to justify altering our whole strategy in my opinion.

Probably already discussed at the time, but thought Leeds where absolutely atrocious yesterday, even after bringing on the quality in subs. Appreciate they won't give us as much space but still, one of the worst performances I've seen from them all season.
