In fairness to Carrick to beat Man City and Arsenal in back to back games is pretty good.

They've looked good doing it as well. Hopefully that stops sharpish.

Just shows how crap and out of his depth Amorim was.

Didn’t solskyaer have a few good results at the start of his caretaker stint? Same as Ten Hag, great results followed up with dross.

That said Cunha and Mbeumo are two decent players and will cause teams problems.

Solskjær was doing alright until they foisted Ronaldo on him. Was pleased with that yesterday but slightly unnerved that they played a bit like us, with Fernandes and Cunha in the 'two no10s', and indeed thought only we score those kind of goals this season.

So at least in Carrick, we've identified Emery's natural successor when his time with us ends.

I think a bit like us at Arsenal a couple of seasons back, there was a nervousness in the crowd that found its way to the players. Man United sensed that I think and took advantage of it. That first half was beyond awful standard wise. Arteta should have made changes at the break to try and address how flat they were. Jesus and Gyokeres were abysmal. Some of the tactical changes Carrick has made were obvious really. Moving Fernandes higher up the pitch is key. Not getting walked through like they were under Amorim.
