I remember a Liverpool supporting mate of mine asking something of the gist of what do you expect from Villa when I was complaining about Gerrard. I don't think even at my most optimistic I'd have predicted what Unai's done.

It's a tricky one given we're probably more likely to be in competition with Chelsea for league position but I'd be happy with a draw and dropped points for both.Whatever the result there is a positive angle for us. But a draw has to be best surely. One point thrown to the wind, and neither team makes any significant gain against us.This for me. I genuinely think it's on. The Liverpool game in 1981 is when I started to believe and it may be a bit later this time but I still believe.

I think most people at that time, including a fair chunk of Villa fans, saw mid table as the limit of our ambitions. Thankfully Nas had other ideas.

I can still see the ball coming tiwards me.
Chelsea win or a draw. We will sort out Chelsea later, for now the target is in the other direction.
