Looks like he knows he is toast

Let's hope they try the big name approach as per Zola and Rooney

Michael Carrick was the name mentioned on Radio 5 Live last night.

Well he managed to do the square root of fuck all at Middlesbrough with much more time than most get and left them where they were when he started, so with that in mind he looks a great fit for the rags owners.

The trouble with appointing Carrick is that he's mainly a football person. With where Blues are going they might be better off with a diplomat or business leader. Peter Mandelson or that bloke who threw his shoes at George Bush might be better at negotiating sponsorship deals with other realms or entities

They need a manager who can generate clicks and social media impressions.

It's small margins. The only thing that stopped them from a romping win with 4/5 goals was the absence of a Sports Village.

Paella in an oven?!

We did one of those cooking classes in Barcelona and the paella was indeed finished in the oven.  Not uncommon, apparently.

It’s not traditional, just easier to control and more convenient given the oven technology these days.

Am I on Mumsnet?  Paella in the oven? You shouldn't listen to those Catalans. No wonder Monchi couldn't wait to get out of here.

Monchi Out!

Ironic that archer scored.  Davies will be getting the Spanish archer soon.  Talk of Michael carrick going there though.

Why, has Carlo Ancelotti turned them down? I like Carrick, far too good for that lower midtable Championship side.

Caicedo, already booked, it's treading a very fine line ... After just 17 minutes.

Not sure how you challenge as a defender when you get a player initiating contact and tripping over themselves to get a more spectacular roll…cmon Bournemouth
