I thought they’d dropped a bollock by giving him that contract at his age. But they’ll get big money from Saudi for him now, which might have been their motivation. The bastards.

That actually might be what this little spat is about - who gets the lion’s share of the Saudi windfall - Liverpool, or Salah?

It will be a face saving amount with add ons.
Getting his wages off the books is a pretty big incentive though.

It feels far more likely to me that Slot is binned off and Salah is back in the team under whoever the new guy is.
