Don't feel too sorry for Liverpool. They have a game coming up against a team who always lends a helping hand to teams on a bad run.

Could be curtains for Slot if Pl-op lose their next game. Who have they got?

Oh shit!

Palace first in the League Cup.

Liverpool have made the mistake of forgetting Premier League teams all have good players and you have to earn the right to win. You can’t just ignore the midfield battle. That’s what’s killing them, they have no base to layer all their attack on.

Shooting position and whether you are going towards goal are relevant in deciding if a player should be booked or sent off, but have no impact whatsoever in deciding if it is a foul. And fouls are always penalties or direct free kicks. Also, fuck Liverpool, Man-U enabling twats.

I’m not contesting the rule. I’m suggesting the rule is a bit shit. Just like an inadvertent handball with no intent at all being given as a penalty. The punishment doesn’t fit the crime.

Also, true is fuck Liverpool.

The poor run of form hopefully makes them more likely to put out a relatively strong team in the League Cup which can't hurt. Assuming they don't come back here.

Agree on handballs. It should always be deliberate. They've completely fucked that rule.

.

The rule that fouls in the “penalty area” shouldn’t be penalties? They could do away with the white painted line that marks that area too. Could save some money.

So how do you explain indirect free kicks in the box? Paraphrasing the definition they are awarded to the opposing team after a non-serious foul, most commonly committed by the defending goalkeeper, or for dangerous play.

Liverpool deserve all the misfortune they are experiencing this season for this alone.

Not all with West Ham, Burnley and Wolves being the exceptions.

Brentford’s ex Liverpool keeper delayed for 13 seconds with the ball which resulted in a corner to Liverpool. It will be mental if Liverpool equalized.

Edit - they didn’t. Brentford survived. Game is now 10 minutes into injury time
