It was. Bit harsh of you ask me. Especially as the player isn’t in a shooting position and is going away from goal. I know it’s technically a pen but that should be an indirect free kick just a little closer.

Shooting position and whether you are going towards goal are relevant in deciding if a player should be booked or sent off, but have no impact whatsoever in deciding if it is a foul. And fouls are always penalties or direct free kicks. Also, fuck Liverpool, Man-U enabling twats.
