Just watched the Manure highlights on motd. Female pundit said definitely a penalty because the shirt pull continued into the penalty area. Both her and the referee should look at the laws of the game. The initial shirt pull and foul started outside the box so should be a free kick. It’s like saying a player was fouled outside the area initially but, as he actually fell in the penalty area, a penalty should be awarded!!

No, they're spot on, the rule for shirt pulling is that it's a penalty if it carries on into the box.

In truth, you are perfectly correct. However, in the spirit of the game, this should be changed as, it is ridiculous that the first foul is committed outside the box but, the player then throws himself into the box to get a penalty. In my opinion, that player should also be booked for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

The Old Firm game is devoid of anything.
A vacuous ,inert blob of nothing.

Starting to wish we had drawn Celtic again. I've, genuinely, seen Blose play better than this.

Can see why neither of these made it through qualifying, they are both absolutely awful…an hour for a yellow card in a derby!

Regarding the Chel v Ful game yesterday.

🚨 Michael Salisbury replaced by John Brooks as VAR for #LFC v #AFC. It follows PGMOL acknowledging Salisbury made an error in disallowing Fulham's goal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Salisbury’s intervention was not in line with the PGMOL’s high bar for VAR intervention.

Also understand Howard Webb contacted Fulham directly yesterday.

Seems we get a lot of 'acknowledging the errors', and yet more errors and usually in the same sort of direction. Odd!

Empty gestures that don't change a thing.

The Auld Firm was the perfect warm up for this evening. Devoid of any quality or incidents of note.

It was so dull, the Rangers fans were singing they were only ankle deep in Fenian blood.

I assume Salisbury's punishment is instantly as he was supposed to be working today, but the onfield ref is even more culpable because he watched it several times and then decided to go with VAR and disallow the goal.

And the Celtic supporters were only mildly praising terrorists.

Forest West Ham yet another poor game of football. Three times at least West Ham players have been guilty of terrible passing while Forest lacking any intensity.
