Walk them off Marco. You forfeit a 3-0 defeat but it would make an amazing point and would lead to some conversations at PGMOL that they clearly don’t take seriously.
Would love that to happen. The officiating fucking stinks. I hope asap the PGMOL start fast tracking ex non league or ex pros who had their career cut short to start refereeing because any ex pro at any level isn't giving any of these.

Under today's rules, it's a pen.

The Pedro hand ball doesn't directly lead to a goal, so it's not hand ball. Even though he effectively passes the ball to another Chelsea player when doing so.

Without the help from the officials, Chelsea really aren't that much.

A problem with VAR is you are asking people
To intervene when they see fit. It was initially touted as a means of overturning incorrect decisions and being the ultimate arbiter on offside but that bar has been lowered over the years. I’d love to know how often a game is played with no VAR intervention other than the mandatory validation of a goal. The VAR officials feel compelled to intervene otherwise why am I here?

20 years ago I worked for a company that had a Mergers & Acquisitions team. Their role was to find companies to buy. If the target company held out they would just play with the numbers ( inflating predicted future profits) until the bosses approved the acquisition. They had to do this act of making the numbers make sense, even if utterly removed from reality,  as an M&A team not buying companies means their roles are not needed and they lose their jobs.

That’s what VAR feels like now. I’m paid to watch from Stockley Park and I must intervene otherwise I lose this part of my job.

VAR is ruining the game.
The ref still made the final decision and if he had any balls he would of said no foul.

He didn’t make the decision during play, only when VAR intervened, once he got told to have a look, there was only an outcome. A joke, he didn’t foul, he had possession of the ball, the Chelsea player put himself into the area of play. Without VAR nobody would have raised the issue. They a looking for ways to disallow goals.
Irrelevant of going to the monitor or not, it's down to the ref to have some guts and tell his mate on CCTV you're talking bollocks. What is Muniz supposed to do, float and not put his foot down with his back turned because Trev has put his size 12's underneath where Muniz HAS to plant his foot. Everyone at home is saying no foul but the referees are absolutely gutless in this country...especially this tit.

Shades of Konsa and Rat

We agree the decision was awful, but it is not irrelevant as VAR intervened. Without VAR no-one would have battered an eyelid.
That part is true but unfortunately it's not going away. What I'm saying is VAR is irrelevant in both decisions as Rob Jones holds all the power and doesn't have to even go to the monitor, it's not mandate. He can either stick to his on field decision or choose to go to the monitor and still stick to his on field decision...he's too weak and that's the main issue.

They'd have been fried if they had.

PGMOL said that a higher threshold for this season on decisions, i'm yet to see it.

It seems utterly weird that Chelsea think they need another winger in Gnacho with what they already have ... leave aside the PSR / CSR issues

If it wasn't for the Villa, I'd be done with football. Ruined.

The ref could have given handball against Chelsea in the build up, I think he missed it. It’s contentious whether that handball directly impacted what followed. The handball for the penalty was as blatant as you’ll get.

They do only have Gittens on that side now. Sancho went back, George is going to be sold, Mudryk banned, Madueke sold.
