Unbelievable decision in favour of Chelscum
VAR has come to referee games now rather than support clear and obvious errors: the crap behaviour at corners and free kicks continues but a genuine ball-winning manoeuvre is minutely scrutinised in slo-mo after a player stays down (incidentally I didn't see many / any Chelsea players appealing).

The decision was 100% correct.

Three factors were considered by the VAR team and the ref:

1. Where was the game being played?
2. Who was the pen awarded against
3. Is either club in the Greedy6?

VAR is ruining the game.
The ref still made the final decision and if he had any balls he would of said no foul.

Consider whether the ref would have given the foul if the goal had not been scored! - almost-certainly not.

I know Fulham are hard done by here, but you can explain complaints away, as weak as it is. Though I doubt it would have been given as a foul then other way around.

But the Utd goal last week with a 2 handed push, then head the ball into the net, was inexcusable & blatant bias.

The only ref with balls who stood by his decision was Darren England at VP for our own against Palace. Since then I think they have been told not to. The ref going to the screen is therefore pointless. They may as well tell the on field official to change their decision.

A challenge in the back of a Fulham player a few minutes ago was waved away, despite the challenge being blatantly foul. Refs really don't help themselves ...

Yep. Ref could easily still just say "nah, still a goal". Officiating does feel like it has gotten worse over the last few years, but that probably is just recency bias. I was most likely saying the same 10 years ago, you'd just think it would have gotten better being able to see a video replay and all that, clearly not.

He didn’t make the decision during play, only when VAR intervened, once he got told to have a look, there was only an outcome. A joke, he didn’t foul, he had possession of the ball, the Chelsea player put himself into the area of play. Without VAR nobody would have raised the issue. They a looking for ways to disallow goals.
