I did mention that Bruno had been doing extra training sessions with the Man Utd youngsters.

First time I've seen the penalty 'foul'. Fucking hell.

He should've booked the cheating little twat for the rolling and fluttering hand.  Maatsen's concern is baffling.

Agreed!! WTF is Maatsen doing other than making it easier for the ref to give a penalty? The mindset truly boggles.

I really don't think empathy should be considered a negative trait but football really needs to adopt the idea of a 'sporting incident' for things like this. Maatsen did land on his ankle, that's undeniable, but the argument should be around whether that constitutes foul play or if it's just that he had to put his foot down and he had little choice but to land in the same place as Diallo. Checking the guy is ok after a completely accidental collision shouldn't be used as a sign of guilt to award a penalty.

Can't we sunset this thread now?  It's depressing enough to see it at the top of the main board, let alone read it.

Sunset as a verb? Sounds Gen-Zish but fuck it, it's a good a word as any to end this ordeal.

Don't be so la-di-da.

But yeah, let's stick this thread in the car hole.

No, fuck that, someone print it out, we'll then torch it and dance around its burning embers, sure that we're free of it, and at that exact moment Legion can press the delete thread button.

What could go wrong?
