Whatever swingeing penalty they get, I'd put money on it including the word 'suspended'.

Thing is - the decision is terrible, but it’s still 0-0 after it. We lost after that - I kind of want to know how with several more days to rest/prepare against an all time bad Man Utd side we turn up and play so utterly pathetically.

I’ve calmed down now and in the cold light of day I don’t blame the referees or Unai, it was Cash and Emi who fucked that up.  With Emi on the pitch we would have done them

That was a disgrace by thr team.  Emi fucked up when it really mattered

We clearly have an issue when we need a result- we're bottle jobs

But we saw a decision that robbed us of champions league, that will change what we can achieve over the next few years.

We need to cause merry hell about this.  We now have to sale players because of a ref didn't do there job properly.

At least the season ticket email tomorrow should show a lower amount than planned ?

That will be interesting!

Might be higher as we need to make up the lost revenue.

I think I totally agree with Brontebillys summary

Most of it but the take on Onana is way over the top. Kamara was even worse.

The whole tone and tempo was wrong from the outset, as it was against Palace.

A bit of attacking verve and zip and they could've been 0-2 down in the first half hour and business as usual for them this season. We'll never know because we gave them the courage to grow into and ultimately control the game.

Kamara has been pony in most of our big games this year, which is a worry.

It is right to say the ball is dead as soon as the whistle is blown, so there can be no VAR review.

It is also true to say, match officials selectively apply the laws and ‘instructions’. They even have guidance that provides them with cover - they talk about “respecting the entertainment” of the match/occasion.

For example, I suspect the VAR official was in the ear of the ref suggesting a penalty that it looks like both the ref and linesman had missed.

So, if VAR had reviewed the decision and sent the ref to the monitor, allowing him the chance to overturn his decision, there would be little or no fuss.

The PGMOL is not corrupt, though it is guilty of seeking to do everything it can to prioritise the onfield decisions at the expense of getting the right outcome. As a result, they often look ridiculous and further diminish the reputation they seek to uphold.

The bottom line - for me - is that we were really poor, but that does not negate the fact that it’s very likely a terrible and avoidable* decision changed the outcome of a really important game.

*avoidable in the sense that had a VAR review happened any comments about the ref having blown the whistle a second too early would be dismissed with claims of how “VAR had enabled the right outcome.”

Is there any sort of man city points deduction we can pray for?

Well the verdict is due any day.

Is it?
Never mind the day, a specific decade might be useful.

Tone is set by leaders. Our biggest leader was left on the f*cking bench. Martinez lost his head. McGinn was a ghost and Watkins was appalling.

Isn't that what VAR is for too correct mistakes by the referee, well some got their wish who criticise it as the referee helped with that decision
