Have to factor in a shocking decision going against us at this place. It opens every time. The bottom line is that we have not been good enough against a sh*te team with nothing to play for. The referee decision should not detract from this.

Wouldn't have mattered if we'd played properly in the first half and gone 2-0 up like last year.

Olympiakos, Palace, ManUre. Three huge games, started terrified in all of them and got blown away in them all. This team doesn't have the minerals for it.

What about all the big games we've won?
How many were cup semi finals, or crucial for champions league qualification?

You don't reach semis, CL QF and qualify for Europe 3 years in a row if bottlers. It's a fucking stupid term used by some whenever we lose.

Guard of honour for Olsen, he's only conceded 2 today.

Once again, Emery needs to be questioned about his management of important games. It happens time after time that he and the team play scared. I am not saying he needs to go or anything like that, but he is not infallible and he should be asked some difficult questions.

Bring back Lambert.

You are an idiot.

We will look back and appreciate that we improved our European status for next year. Right now a very hollow victory.

Tempted to go back and find the post I made months ago where I said goal difference was going to be our downfall, and I was told to stop shitting my pants about it, it wouldn't matter at the end of the season.

Having this specific game last when we needed something from it guaranteed a disastrous outcome. And so it proved
Yes. Gert in two keepers (assuming Emi is off) and two RB that all are good enough for top level and we can go for the League title next year.

Here's PGMOL covering up for incompetence

Premier League Match Centre on X: "The referee’s call was a free kick to Manchester United with Bayindir deemed to be in control of the ball before Rogers gained possession.

"The whistle was blown by the referee before the ball entered the goal, therefore the incident was not reviewable by the VAR."

Seems like they are explaining why VAR couldn't do anything. Ref was incompetent but I also think we would have carried on and lost anyway. We have let bigger leads slip against that lot all the time.
