The "you're not allowed to disagree!" defence whenever anyone disagrees is the lowest form of foruming. Apart from puns.

Not sure it really matters.

It apparently does for the ones who want to blame everything bad on the club. It wouldn't have even been mentioned if the result had gone our way on Sunday.

This is exactly what it is. Sometimes you have to wonder why they support such a shambolic club.
Because my dad and my grandad took me when I was 7 mate.
Is that ok?

You’ll have to excuse me for being critical about blaming an awards evening for why we didn’t perform on Sunday. There maybe things to assess over the selection and why we can’t get over the line but that’s surely isn’t one of them.
I may have missed the pictures of the players coming out drunk and if I have then I apologise.
You are obviously an idiot.

I blame the awards ceremony we had a few days before the Palace semi final.

The inability to argue or counter the point and instead criticise the poster is the lowest of the low.
Sadly this is becoming the norm.
Sad.

Plenty of people countered and argued the point. Just because you didn't agree doesn't make it personal abuse.

Well, on the basis that you spend all of your time having a go at other posters and making everything personal. I work on the basis that I am perfectly happy to discuss debate any opinion until the point I get attacked then I respond.
I never start the personal stuff but I do react.

Yep, sad when posters just criticise and chuck names at each other.

I don't 'spend all my time having a go at other posters'. That's just something you constantly bring up when you are disagreed with and it's absolute nonsense.

If you read back and look at the form on here, there are plenty of times where someone makes a point and then there is a pile on.
As I said above I don’t start the personal stuff but I do respond.
It would be great if there were counter arguments and discussion and I really enjoy that but sadly it is the exception.
Why some posters need to make it personal I have no idea. When I meet Villa fans in the real world there is an automatic connection a shared bond, on here it seems that there is joy in having a go at Villa fans. I don’t get it.

Of course the club can do no wrong. How dare we challenge the way that the club treats the most important game of the season!

You can challenge, I'm merely asking what the players should have been doing instead of having a relaxed evening focusing on the positives of the season.

Bed with an Ovaltine?

You'd be hard pushed to make a case that the awards night had an effect on Sundays abject performance, but as its cost us £100m I also don't think, in a sporting world of small margins, its timing shouldn't be looked at in the wider review of why we saved our worst performance for the most important game.

Of course. But the point remains, what should they have done instead? By all accounts they weren't drinking, weren't put under any stress and do what they've always done. I doubt very much that Emery would have been popular having another meeting, they'd have already been on the pitch that day and having a positive event would have lifted the mood.
