He’s bound to hate us the amount of beatings we gave smethwick when he was playing for them.

Was really hoping for one of those fast starts we used to see all through 2023.

Asensio been class. Feels we just need to up the tempo on the left. Maatsen gives us options in the final third that Digne can't quite but we're just too slow to feed the ball through to him.

It is nervy but hopefully we'll score around the hour mark and then settle down. Bit worried if this stays 0-0 going into the last fifteen as they have more quality on the bench to change things than we do.

What's wrong with Kamara? He's been struggling for several weeks now.

He’s got contractitus.

I think we've played better than we did against Bournemouth tbh. Just need to keep.plugging away.

Whoever is on comms has a real anti Villa narrative

Andy Hinchcliffe isn't  it?...he is awful, I've had to turn the volume right down. Wish the game was on Amazon where you can mute the comms

They seem to be dealing with our crosses too easily. Maybe Malen on for a bit more charging into the box energy. Garcia for Cash

Unfortunately I see Disasi for Cash being the change.

malen needs to come on . bit of pace and width and someone who hassles the defence.

Asensio is as done well and maatsen and SJM.

Onana been ok but Kamara looks out of sorts.

overplayed at times too.

Was really hoping for one of those fast starts we used to see all through 2023.

I was really hoping of the last four games this would be the one we could take the foot of the gas and get a comfortable 3 points.

We’ve had a few moments, pretty much from brilliance from Asensio. But we’re playing exactly how Spurs would have wanted us too - slow build up allows them to organise and we’ve got no width really. Need to be much more purposeful- Kamara is having a really poor game.

I think we'll get away with it tonight.

However dreading playing Man. United like this. That's why we have such a poor record v them, when we play at a slow tempo we just give the opposition so much time to regroup behind the ball and then when a move breaks down they can just ping a quick ball over the top. Luckily Son isn't the same force he was there years ago.

Thing is there’s a good chance Spurs will score, so we’ll need at least two. Need to be way better.

Rogers off for Bailey or Malen for me. Not because I don't rate him but him and Asensio don't work that well.

I'm not sure if it's because they don't work together or if Rogers is just out on his feet. Him and Kamara look off the pace, you can see how fatigued they are by the amount of lazy touches when they're usually so tidy with the ball.

Onana, McGinn and Asensio have been very good. Someone said that we've almost played really well and that sums it up for me, we've been 1 touch or pass from opening them up a bunch of times.

I'm surprised so many think we've been poor - I thought it was near total control from us, barring maybe three counters? We've gotten around them on the left multiple times and were camped on their box at times. We do play slowly and deliberately, but that's not always us being shite lol
