This sums up what the club think of their fans

I was shown that yesterday.  Colin Abbot apparently.

It’s a gamble you take.
If you threaten to leave/cancel anything nowadays be prepared to accept the consequences.

I’m not defending the club, I’m just saying.
All businesses are pretty ruthless and the game of brinkmanship doesn’t work anymore.

I've added my ticket to my Google wallet but it doesn't show it properly in there - no QR at all, just info about where my seat is. Anyone else have this problem?

Its NFC in google wallet, (I.E) you hold your phone at the top of the machine. No QR code scanning necessary.

Ah, thanks!

In hindsight you'd have been far better off having encountered technical difficulties and staying outside!

Say to me "Make me an exception or I want my money back" and I'd be likely to give you your money back.

If you issue an ultimatum don't be surprised if it bites you on the backside.

Imagine the hoop jumping to secure a physical card was pretty full on this year.

Slightly away from the current part of the thread - are we supposed to get a freebie for buying a season ticket this year like the coffee cup last season?

You are so right - particularly as the machine didn't read the ticket in my wallet properly and I had to have assistance from one of the stewards. What made it worse was that the young man behind me thought I didn't know how to use my phone to gain access! Can't say I blame him really - nearly 70 and female to boot!!

I have taken to opening the ticket in the app so it shows the QR code and using that to get in.

That's what I did for the Newcastle game, but thought it would be easier to use the ticket in my wallet - no stressing about having a signal etc

Lots of it…we have one who doesn’t have a smartphone…had to email fan complaints (strongly worded) a couple of times before Newcastle game after getting the ‘no physical card’ email and they gave print at home ticket for the game and then came back week after and said a card would be issued…

I tried to open the app, but no chance, didn't get anywhere near to the ticket section, luckily I had put it in my wallet as I didn't trust the signal

They don't want us there so give them a chance to prove it they will snap your hands off.

There is no value in long standing supporters, it's depressingly obvious, and it's not just Villa. I'll grumble about it but there is nothing I can do really, so I will pick my moment and walk away. No one will notice and no one will care only me.

Of course I'll still go to games when I can and when it suits me and not the TV companies or the club. I'll stand with others in the pubs, reminiscing about the good old days or rage about VAR but the game has moved away from a lot of us and there is nothing we can do about it.

I opened the app while on wi-fi at home and left it open so I could are the QR code so I didn't need to be connected.
