I apologise for calling Tim the pub twat.

Of course, the fairer pub themed description would be “the barred bloke”.

Who keeps coming back wearing a different hat so as not to be recognised

The way I read the email was that it was the premier league that are making the club only give a very limited amount of physical season tickets?

On the subject of being barred I know a wolves fan who got arrested as part of Operation Growth (late 80s) he kept on going to the games wearing a wig so he could get in.

Made my application for season card or a 13a socket at the turnstile.  Are they still called turnstiles or customer entrance portals?

Or are you just pleased to be there

Digital = control and monitor but more importantly data collection= $$$s that's why you can whistle for anything else 😉

What info are they getting from the app that they weren't getting when you used to apply for paper season tickets / physical card previously?

Thing is, if they say that not having a smartphone is a valid reason for having a physical card, then they get loads of people claiming they don't one, like nice but dim.

It does sound a bit brutal and I feel for the very small minority who it causes genuine difficulty for, but sometimes just ripping the plaster off is the best way forward.

Nowadays, a smartphone is just a mobile phone.  You don't have to put face space and twatter on it.  You can just, y'know, use it as a phone with the Villa app on it.  Send a text to your grandkids, they'll love it.

Application for card made or for 13a socket to be installed at turnstile. Are they still called turnstiles or are they now customer entrance portals?

Smartphones are available well under £50 now and sim deals at just a couple of quid a month. Anyone who can afford a season ticket can afford one.

My Dad is 89 and he manages to do what he needs to with his with a bit of help the first time. My mum is 83 and an absolute whizz with hers!
Being able to video call them when they both live so far away is brilliant!
