Almost like Heck was following the orders of our billionaire owners. Not doing it against their will or without their knowledge, as some were trying to make out.

It amazes me that the North Stand is the only one I can regularly get tickets in.
Were you a Claret member last season ? My 2 sons and I were and were able to get 3 seats together for most games in L5 or L6. We've now got ST's, but these crazy prices are going to result in most of the next generations of supporters not being able to attend games. 1 adult & 1 U18 will cost £107 and 1 adult & 2 U18's will cost £137 for Category A games. Not sure that many families will be able to afford regular attendance, ergo not qualifying to go up the ST waiting list. I remember with fondness going to games in the late 60's and early 70's when going to the game plus a couple of pints didn't take up a huge percentage of my weekly spends. Of course, it was the working man's game back then. If prices were say £20 per game cheaper, the reduction in revenue on home games over a season would be £15.96M - Peanuts compared to TV money or PL prize money.

Nice comparison by Central News just now. £58 on the Holte to watch Aston Villa v Newcastle compared to £27.50 to watch B’lose v Stoke in the cheapest seats.

So that’s last seasons Champions league Quarter Finalists v The League Cup holders who got CL this season with the same points as us. Or B’lose v Stoke.

I think I know who is actually being ripped off !

Also, to sit and watch Blose v Stoke AND run the risk of capturing some sort of medieval strain of disease because you're in close proximity to not one but TWO of the scummiest fanbases in the world.

The majority of match going fans throughout the top 7 or 8 tiers of the pyramid are being fleeced.

Do we know whether the games v ManU/Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal will be more than this ?

I think the club would rather have members going to 6/7 league games a season at £71 a pop, and hope we spend a few quid in the shop.

£50 used to be my limit, but after last season’s Champions League prices all bets seem to be off, and there is obviously going to be a price that’s too much for everyone at some point.

I haven't checked but i'd imagine we only have 2 tiers now for PL games. Newcastle will be in the top one. As will be Wolves, the Sky 6, possibly even West Ham, Leeds, Forest and Everton.

It's "Category 3", which is the higher of the two Premier League categories. Categories 1 and 2 are for the Europa League and are, confusingly, both lower than Category 3.

I think they have 10 higher category and 9 lower category.  Lower category tickets will be about £25 cheaper in the Trinity, based on last season.

At a guess, lower category will be Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Burnley, Palace, Fulham, Leeds, Sunderland and one of Everton or West Ham. West Ham at home will be inexplicably televised of course, as is tradition.
