I think you'll have to actually attend though, won't you? Don't they track it via the NFC thingy?

Are you allowed to move seats for the odd games during a season?

For example if you have an ST, but want to go to a match with your kid who is too young to go on their own, could you re-locate so you can sit with them?

Yes, this is no problem, but you need to phone the ticket office at the same time as buying your kids seat, so if it's a sell out during the online sale only window then you will struggle.

I’ve not received any email notifying me of my position on the members / waiting list.

Have you got an I-phone BNS?

I didn’t see mine until I clicked on ‘promotions’ in the new-fangled (and unwanted) way Apple have organised my e-mails.

I have but I think that might be down to the email account you have as my work google address does that but my personal Hotmail account, which is what I use for the Villa, just has the regular folders.

I’ve just checked my account on the Villa site to see when my renewal is and it’s not till August so maybe that’s it?

Thanks, just need to hope that new ST's make it down to me

I've gone from well over 8000 to just over 3000 as a Memeber and matches attended, so once the North Stand is sorted, I should get a ST...in theory.

And 'in theory' four members of my family were guaranteed a season ticket as soon as we added 3,000 seats but today they've all been wiped off the list and no longer exist  until they become members of a club that didn't exist when they waited patiently for six years picking up tickets whetever they could from our very wide circle of season ticket holding friends.

There was a time that this would have been the end of the world to me, I leaves me almost no chance of taking my Grandkids through formal routes.

There's no way I'm paying them into membership clubs to see the rules changed again.

The club have strengthened the resolve of the long standing to look after their own.

I'm not sure the club have done it to look after their own.  I suspect it was suggested by someone on FAB who would benefit personally from the change and the club saw it as a way of driving ticket demand.  Win-win for the club.

As a ST holder it doesn't impact on me, but I do think it's a kick in the balls for someone who has been on the list for 5 years and has the goalposts moved without warning at the last minute.

I absolutely agree that it doesn't seem great to just change the rules without any warning or a chance to potentially earn points prior to it being implemented

I don't agree with using the women's team to earn points, if you live outside Birmingham, I can't see many people being that bothered to travel too far to watch it

What does surprise me is how many it seems don't have a membership, this seems a no brainer to me if you are wanting to go to games, first dibs on the tickets and the gifts are not too bad, especially for the kids package

I didn't mean that the club were looking after their own.

What I meant by that was that I'm far more likely to get tickets through 'my own' friends and family than through the club unless I completely start from scratch which is almost impossible for children as it means moving my season ticket which is a lot more difficult than it sounds for people of a certain age.

Fair play to everyone who's recent loyalty has been rewarded with a major climb up the waiting list too. No bitterness on my part I'm just disappointed but not at all surprised that a patient six year wait has come to nothing.

The ticket sales page is going to be a car crash for even more games now. They are whipping up demand.

Yes, and in that respect I have to agree it's a good idea.

I'm doubtful the demand this year will be as much as last year, when everyone was giddy from the European Cup.

You can guarantee the tickets page will crash even if we get Harrogate at home in the League Cup.

As ever on all these things the club has rather cack-handedly changed the rules with no prior warning. Ultimately though you now know where you stand when it comes to getting a season ticket in a few years when the new North Stand comes on line.

1. Be a member
2. Go to as many home mens games as you can.
3. Go to some women’s games if you want to really get to the top of the queue.

Yes probably. I’m prepared to make the effort in the short-to-medium term.

I do quite enjoy watching them anyway.
