Doesn't impact me, but I do think this moving of goalposts is remarkably unfair.

I've moved up to position 65.

Wow Daz - did you attend every home game?

I only missed one home game all season.

Excellent.  Well there's no doubt that you deserve your ticket, I'm just a bit uncomfortable with them unilaterally shifting the goalposts.

I've gone from 12,340 in 2023, 11,457 in 2024 to 3,979 in the waiting list currently, and I'm assuming/hoping my youngest lad is next to me in the queue but we've had no email about his.

I can't see nearly 4K not renewing so looks like we will still be waiting for a while yet.

However after just working out I spent just shy of £2K on Villa Park tickets last season for me and my 2 lads, I'm starting to feel a bit relieved we didn't qualify for the European Cup again, expensive game this football lark isn't it ?

I have dropped from 9200 to 19456, all because i am not a member. If it was a level playing field and I had known 100 points rested on it, I would have parted with the money.
I am fortunate that I have a mate with season tickets who spends half of the year in NZ and have first dibs, even if i "am him" for some games, but this feels like changing the rules in a despicable and devious way. My dream of getting my own seat when the North Stand is expanded are dashed. I will have to carry on bending the rules until they introduce face recognition to get in! Pissed off!
I think this is probably the worst part.  Hypotheticaly, a non member who had attended every single home game for 2 seasons would be behind a member who hasn't attended a single game.  When it was never stated that being a member was a condition of being on the waiting list, which it now effectively is.

I had a look earlier this month and spent £2.7k direct to the club, this included tickets, club shop and any food in the ground

Me and the kids have gone up from 36,000-odd and all next to each other in the list, to somewhere in the 2,000s but spread out hundreds apart. If the joyful event of being able to buy season tickets happens, how will we be together?

I’m off to tweet this to @AVFCSupport.

So it doesn't matter where you were on the waiting list previously, as long as you've bought a ticket in the last 2 years.

And then it all depends on how many tickets you purchased in the 2 years, I guess they've got to draw a line somewhere, but I do think an allowance should be made for what position you were in the queue 2 years ago to start with.

The truth is it seems like it doesn't matter where you are on this list this season (outside those who actually get a ticket) as it will be reshuffled again next season.  So being 2,000 now will be pretty meaningless unless you go to every game next season.

Thanks Chris, I amended my post after I bothered to read the email properly.

Surely membership will be the biggest factor?

Yes, it's not a waiting list any more is it by the looks of it, it all depends on how many games you've been to.

Good fortune to those that only bothered getting tickets once we got in the European Cup.
