Disappointed Maatsen is not started, hopefully he will get some game time this time.

I wanted Rashford, Mings and Maatsen to start! The lineup doesn't seem as strong. I bet Palace are happy Rashford isn't playing. Rumours of a knock or hamstring problem. If so, typical of our luck!

Much less confident with Pau instead of Mings. I know Unai’s attitude is to play our game and not worry about the opposition but as some point you need to be pragmatic and accept certain opponents require special attention, especially one that’s battered you consistently in recent games.

I think that's the opposite of his approach.

Strange decision not to go with Mings. We generally look more solid when he's playing.

We're going to have to score at least three to win this.

The way PL results have gone so far this week it could be thunderously horrific if we don’t make the final.

Come on Villa.

Watkins to beat the record today with 2.

Welcome to the forum Unai.

You’re right, we had a terrible season with him playing most weeks last year.

He only needs one, but he’s not playing in the PL today.

Thought UE seemed a bit terse/irritated when asked about Rashford just now.

Not that I haven't been terse/irritated all day. Oh no.

They’ve been talking about Adam Wharton for about 3 hours.

It made me chuckle “any update on that injury?” “No. *awkward silence* we are hoping not serious”
