Incidentally, "doué" means "gifted" in French.

Nominative determinism at its finest.

We need to try and get to Vitinha. They’ve got some brilliant players but he knits it all together.

I think my neighbours and possibly the next street knew we scored.

Well for all their amazingness and all round superbness they needed an absolute worldie to score a goal. Listening to the commentary I feel like we're not worthy of being on the same pitch as them.

They seem to have the best players from every country nobody has ever heard of. Yet.

Can't complain about their goal, a belter tbf.

What I can complain about is Rio Ferdinand, what has he ever said that made a company think he'd be a good commentator? He's an absolute plank.

I can’t understand what he says. He makes McCoist sound legible.

They're not as good as Juve in 1983 but comparable to the Bayern team we beat. Different eras obviously.

I think it was 2014 when they flew him out to Brazil to piss around with some street football and give us the benefit.

Probably the best argument for dinning the licence fee I've ever seen.

I suspect we've been following our gameplan pretty much as devised. Cash is obviously a risk now, so we'll see what Emery does to shift the dynamics.
I reckon we'll see Asensio, Disasi, Watkins and possibly Onana after 55 minutes or so.

commentators   STFU and stop wanking over PSG

Its 1 1 ffs

Glad it's not just me who thinks there has been a massive TNT circle jerk going on in commentary over PSG throughout that half.

Thought we were really under the cosh in the early stages, but started to come back into it and scored a great goal.  They started to look like less threatening, but scored a great goal out of the blue and then kicked on.again.

We simply can't give the ball away cheaply against these.  Ref has given very little as well.

Is it just me or was there a touch of Rotterdam about our goal?

Not sure about that, surely everyone knows Hakimi and Kvaratskhelia are world class and I'm fairly sure we were linked to Doue and Vitinha before they signed them.

If they’re not talking about PSG they’re talking about Liverpool
