Bricking it now. Watching Emmerdale Farm to tek my mind off the game.

Tsk! A proper soaps fan would know it's called Emmerdale nowadays.

It's mad that we're in a CL QF but also Man Utd are not here, Liverpool are not here, Man City are not here, Chelsea are not here. Would anyone have predicted that a few seasons ago?

I said I wouldn’t but have poured myself a glass of white wine from Eger in Hungary. It just suited the mood.

Now I’m getting anxious.

Let's be honest. No-one.

My lad was born the day before we beat Albion in play off semis.

He's not yet 6

This isn't even as big as the Albion QF.

What a night that was

You know what I was expecting to feel the same and genuinely couldn't care less about the man or the family but the fact that he is fully invested and can actually talk properly about it is pretty cool imho

William seems a decent sort, even without the Villa connection.

Those controversial statements for the people who didn't see it.

Quote
Aston Villa fan Prince William speaking to TNT Sports:

"I’m pretty terrified, 43 years since a big European night. I’m confident and also excited.

"We all saw the Liverpool game and in the first leg PSG were unbelievable, they pressed very high so it’s about managing that press tonight. Unai Emery likes it when teams come onto them but there’s a limit – can we beat the press? I’m thinking long ball. It’s going to be a challenging night and I’m interested to see what tactics Villa employ.

"Not having Mbappe there, no superstars, makes them gel. They’re a young team and Vitinha in midfield – he could hardly get a game at Wolves and now look at him. It shows you how massive a couple of years of development can be.

"Villa can cause them problems if they get the gameplan right."

Must have had some pyrotechnics left over from the Liverpool game
