Why would we do anything to help them ? He's been their POTS so far by all accounts.

Has the 'journalist' who wrote the piece put their name to it? He/she may have a twitter account where you can pull them up on it.

Someone called Will Unwin. But I'd hope people have better things to do with their time.

Ok, we couldn't have given consent. I read that we could, sorry.

Maybe. Had a quick look anyway and his X account is protected.

What would you have said, and what would you have been hoping to achieve?

Could have pointed out that he was having a pop at Emery unnecessarily.

We could have given our consent.
Yes in totally disingenuous Trumpism way to chase good PR.

We have to give consent that loanees can play in cup competitions which is usually made if the loan might be cut short.

Of all of the talking points this tie has to offer, he chose that and was wrong.

I read the Guardian, for lots of reasons, but I do have to work hard not feel that we've offended someone there without quite knowing what it is that we've done.

But not this cup, where the organisers say that it's not allowed whether we're happy with it or not.

I like the usage of "work experience" in that rule. Some 15 year old in the Villa Village stockroom hoping against hope that his stint there might get him a move to a professional club and maybe even come back to VP one day as a player in a match-day squad!

Glad to see Ollie healthy again but this is really a game I hope we start Malen. We need to see him get proper game time and with big league and CL games to come we need Ollie 100% for those.
