That’s one hell of a bench. Seems like a trade off with McGinn on the right so we need to be more attacking on the left hence Maatsen.

Dont get how we have a a virtually  full strength squad now but still two keepers  on bench?

Because if we don't, we'd be breaking the rules.

Not if we name a youngster instead

As long as it's a young goalkeeper. And Zych is hardly a veteran.

European rules require 2 goalkeepers on the bench.

In UEFA Champions League and other UEFA competitions, each club must include at least two goalkeepers in List A (match-day squad) and at least three goalkeepers in total (List A and List B combined).
Here's a more detailed explanation:
List A (Match-day squad):
Clubs must have at least two goalkeepers registered on List A (which is the squad for the match day).
List B (Reserve squad):
Clubs must have at least three goalkeepers in total, with the possibility of a goalkeeper being registered in List B (which is the reserve squad).

The return of Torres!

Pau’s been in the last two squads.

Seems a pretty stupid rule, especially bearing in mind the early matches mirror the UEFA Youth League games. There will be loads of young keepers who could be playing in those who will just be sat on the bench, with no chance of getting on, instead.

If we didn't name two keepers, would we thrown out of the competition? That would be a more recent financial disaster than signing Coutinho, which would provide some solace.

What a brilliant starting eleven.
What a brilliant bench.

Unai clearly had enough of Bailey. Think Rashford will start on the right to keep our shape.

Match them for energy and our quality will shine through.

Swap Barkley for Zych and we're fully stacked (with Malen and García on standby).

That’s my lack of observation. Great to see him back though!!

We should have named Mbappe on the bench rather than a second keeper.

Mbappe could have done a good job in the hole.

Maatsen seems an odd choice but other than that it's a decent team.

Is Digne one of the players looking at suspension if he's booked?

I thought it was obvious  i was referring to a out field player that isnt a keeper.
