I'd be relatively happy if it finished 1-1 but right now I feel a little unsatisfied. I thin we've pushed the final pass at times, giving them the opportunity to break quickly.

I'd be content in the 2nd half with having a ton of possession, 'aimlessly' passing it around as they defend in front of the box.

Watkins and Rogers have been awful keeping possession.

Ball bouncing off them, Rashford been awful too. Solid spell of possession before half time, should settle us a bit.
Thought Rashford was dangerous tbh

Yes he was. Rogers is just sloppy. His needless sloppiness led to the attack for their goal.

Bruges are a far better looking outfit than in the last game.

All of the front four have given the ball away far too easily. At least Rogers has broken the lines and tried to make this happen.

Too defensive and too conservative again.  They’re there to be done over and we’re doing that ‘control’ thing again.  Just fucking go for it!

This. We have the better players. Just go for it.

Very passive again. Lacking energy and making plenty of passing errors. It feels like we are playing with the handbrake on. It hasn't worked previously. Really feel we can get after them. Another first shot goal conceded. It is absolutely criminal how we keep doing this. Up the tempo Villa...

We’re miles better than them. Our defence and lack of defensive midfield is telling.
I don't think we were "miles better" than them. If anything they shaded it for me. Brilliant save off Emi to keep it level. These are dangerous and very determined. We just need to get Ollie/Rashford on the ball more. And Ollie needs to put his boots on the right feet. Some of his passing has been very poor.
On the money Edge - Watkins has been poor all round tonight. Don’t think he’s managed to lay it off to a single Villa player so far from what I can remember.
Very tight nervy game, hopefully we can come back to Villa Park with at least a draw under our belt.
Feels like a game where Marco could come on and give us a bit of that magic the last incumbent kept harking on about.
Also, the amount of times Rashford has been ready to race forward only for the defenders to switch it to the right wing. He’s going to dine well when Pau is back in the side.

I think potentially Bruge have been talked into being much more than they are. They ain't bad, but we are way too passive and giving them too much respect.

Holds onto the ball gar too long most of the time then his options to pass are all offside of have no forwards momentum.

TNT just said something was up with Asensio but I didn’t catch it due to noisy kids.

They were saying he was warming up at half time on his own, the other subs were warming up separately.  As if the staff member was watching him to “ see what he has in him/what we can get out of him”

I’m not sure what it meant. Has he been poorly ?
