And people wonder why monchi gets belters. We let kayode go brentford, now Geertruidas go Sunderland.  While the best monchi can come up with his manchester utd reject lindelof

This is the same Geertruidas that has flopped at leipzig?

Shouldn’t we be bashing Monchi for wanting him in the first place rather than missing out on him now?

seems weird a 19 yaear old player we own as pushed him out of the team.  Might as well have him back.

There's something to be said for just doing whatever the f**k you want and taking the consequences later.

Elliott would give us some much needed energy, if not pace.

Sterling wouldn't be an horrendous idea, if we got the money right. Plus he's a decent human being. Never seen a link to him though, unlike the rest.

Have we been linked with Sterling

Sterling would be shit. Unless our aim is to take in old waifs and strays that no one else wants. Which is a possibility.

I’d rather have Sancho than Sterling. Sterling looks completely past it now. (NB I don’t particularly want Sancho but by 7pm I’ll have convinced myself he’s the second coming)

Isn’t that what Emery has done in lots of other places, the waifs and strays bit and been largely successful doing so. I’m not sure this is going to work in the Premier division though.

It is and you’re probably right re PL but I think Sancho is more likely to have it in him than an apparently ageing Sterling (despite not being that old)

I think we’ll all be glad come 7 o’clock tonight, we’ll then know what we’ve got to work with good or bad

Swapping JJ for 80% of Sancho's wages seems Lewis Carroll levels of absurdity.

Not convinced by Sancho at all. Not sure anybody is but Harvey Elliot would be a very good signing.

Wouldn't mind an out-and-out striker though to put pressure on Watkins.

Sadly it was the transfer fee cash we needed.

So essentially £10m for Sancho for a season. Grealish is costing Everton £23-24m with loan fee etc, so you can see why we didn't go there.

Sancho will do well in Europe, I'm confident of that. Not so sure in the league

Looks like we could be stuck with an unhappy Martinez if the story of the Antwerp keeper flying into Manchester is correct. Sancho would be horrific, another huge ego apparently and like Emi not popular behind the scenes.
