Four months ago we had, probably, the best squad in our entire history and Man U had their worst team since Cliff Richard was still considered a rebellious youngster. Within the space of one summer we have completely given up. It's like old Villa never went away.

Why fucking bother.
It all came to an end at Old Trafford

Yep. Though I think we would just have delayed the inevitable. There are four of five Champions League spots and Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool have three of them wrapped up before a ball is kicked. That leaves Chelsea, Newcastle, Villa, Forest, Tottenham, Man U and maybe the likes of Brighton and even Everton all fighting for one or two places.

There was always going to be a season we didn't qualify and the shit was always going to hit the fan when it happened. Seems like we pushed the boat out too much and have left ourselves more exposed than Newcastle did when they failed to qualify (or have the rules got stricter since? Can't remember).

Romano just tweets everything he sees on twitter. He casts the net far and wide so he eventually gets one right every now and again.

At least we don't have to worry about anyone pinching any of our star goalkeepers.

I'd imagine he gets more clicks and therefore more money for Man U speculation seeing as they have quite a lot of "supporters".

We were under big pressure financially anyway. Seems to me that we gambled pretty much everything last January to try to deliver another season of CL football. But thats not sustainable.
