Wasn’t it Pacqueta who dived opening day last season?

Who cares about that though, seriously? Why would that even be an issue?

I don’t like cheats, is all. Wasn’t sure if was him.

He's talented. Not sure a real position of need but be interesting to see where he fits in.

Does this mean Marco's not coming back?

🚨🇧🇷 More on Lucas Paquetá. Aston Villa bid for £47m total package on the table with player keen on move.

No final green light to proceed from West Ham at this point as #WHUFC still hope to keep Paquetá.

Potter has requested not to sell the Brazilian while Villa are pushing.

Does this constitute a “back track” from Fabio? It seems like one? It sounded much more advanced than that in his previous arse trumpet.

If it materialises then you can only assume so, which I would find odd. Presumably it’s an immediate cash issue if that’s the case.

Could Paqueta play in the Europa League?

Only if we have net positive transfer balance for our A squad (and actually sign him).

Do we have net positive transfer balance (assuming we kick most of his fee to next summer)?

At the moment I think we do, but Pacqueta could only work as a loan this year. I am still pretty sceptical.

Yeah, it would suggest we can't (maybe it's won't?) stump up the 15 or so mil PSG want and defer this Paqueta payment. Hopefully we have the money earmarked for someone else.
