Grealish would be cheaper than Asensio? Ooooook. Luiz a completely different type of player, but other than that makes complete sense.

I’m shocked to see you’re displeased about something though.

It’ll be because small heath lost last night.

I can get into the debate about the amount of money, but the idea that Rogers isn’t good but is just a consistent statistical anomaly is crazy. It’s in the same ball park as Ollie being easily replaceable.

He’s unplayable on his day. His last day was Celtic. I think the attention has gone to his head. Hopefully, Unai steers him back on course and he plays for us for a decade.

100 million no brainer.  He wouldnt stay with us that long he would want to be another Bellingham and want off.  Too late to sell him now and not sure he will be worth that 100 million in a years time If he carries on the last 8 mths . Might be better in January and hopefully gives the sky media a few good moments to keep the hype and ignore when he plays crap.   Im suprised he got in the England squad to be fair but looking at that squad , maybe not .

Pacqueta is a very good player. I’m just struggling to see him as an immediate need given we have other pressing concerns.

I would say him or player like him is right at the top of our needs. Youri aside no one can pass the ball straight in this team.

I think Disasi will be fine as long as he's not shunted out to right back.

I wouldnt risk it as you know he would end up RB a few times.    Havent forgiven him for being useless last minute against Doku.
Blame Unai. He brought him on as a sub, played him at RB so Pep immediately brought Doku on. Worked a treat for them. We were so defensive the whole game against an undercooked City 4 days after thrashing the Geordies.

thats why I worry him coming. Being played RB ..   looked ok against Brentford but meh.

Upgrading our team is one thing. But would we play Youri and Pacqueta together? And who are they passing to. We have no width or speed to speak of. I’d prefer to take Asensio and get a couple of quick wide players in. At least one.

I think Paqueta would be the 10.

My word, if the attitude towards Rogers that’s been mentioned by a few on here was reflected in the wider fan base I wouldn’t blame him for wanting out if he did. A player who has done brilliant things here, form dipped off a bit - still produced assists/goals, had a couple of bad games at the start of the season (like everyone) and some appear to actively be saying we’d be better off without him.

Blimey, you don't like him do you?! Harsh.
He's not been helped by the rest of the team being off it, but I've for worry that bringing Asensio may stunt his development.

Paqueta doesn't want to play v Forrest.

I bet he doesn't all that running around he might have to do. Wonderful talent, worleful work rate. Utterly pointless. Asensio is miles better.

Don't want either.

You won’t get either. Blues are a tiny stain on the football pyramid. Neither would have heard of you.

Don't want either.  Asensio is a completely pointless signing for a club that needs to get its wage bill down.  Grealish and Luiz would have been better and much cheaper options than.  What on earth are our board and sporting directors doing?

Please explain your maths on Grealish being cheaper than Asensio.

It’s got to be a stalking horse thing as Mister E suggests. I imagine Marco would end up on comparable wages, and would be substantially cheaper - unless the loan with Pacqueta is actually viable.

Although considerably older so you’d be looking to replace him in a few years which wouldn’t be the case with the Brazilian so probably not much in it financially.

Only c18 months between them. Marco is 29, Paqueta turned 28 the other day.

I really don't see it. Given his reputation, I've paid attention to his performance in a couple of games at Villa Park.

I don't think he is terrible, though certainly (IMO) nowhere near as good as many people seem to rate him. Also, as many have said, not a priority area for us. UTV

Pacqueta would be a no for me…smoke and fire and all that

Only West Ham players I would want are Bowen and at a push Wan Bissaka

We shouldn’t speak to West Ham though in case we accidentally end up with Ward- Prowse

Oh…I thought he was 26 and Marco 30.
