With all the inflated prices these days I wonder when/if we'll ever be able to splash out £80-£100m on a player.

I would say not, not for the fee so much as the wages needed for those players.

You can’t sell see why there is such a focus on trying to find youngsters…we clearly can’t afford to pay full PL wages to 25+ players & compete on those salaries with the cartel clubs

Romano has reported that Georgian striker has gone to Villareal.

No, Sevilla.

Sorry, no, actually it's Villa de Fortuna.

Actually, news just in, he's going to Villa Dalmine.

Someone told me today that Emi was so sure he was leaving this summer he even sold his house. I wonder what our plan was because we were never getting Chevalier ahead of PSG.

I'm sick of all this speculation without any transfers, so I'm off to watch The Sixth Sense. I've heard it's decent.

I think Disasi will be fine as long as he's not shunted out to right back.

I wouldnt risk it as you know he would end up RB a few times.    Havent forgiven him for being useless last minute against Doku.

Blame Unai. He brought him on as a sub, played him at RB so Pep immediately brought Doku on. Worked a treat for them. We were so defensive the whole game against an undercooked City 4 days after thrashing the Geordies.

I bet he doesn't all that running around he might have to do. Wonderful talent, worleful work rate. Utterly pointless. Asensio is miles better.

It’s got to be a stalking horse thing as Mister E suggests. I imagine Marco would end up on comparable wages, and would be substantially cheaper - unless the loan with Pacqueta is actually viable.

Don't want either.  Asensio is a completely pointless signing for a club that needs to get its wage bill down.  Grealish and Luiz would have been better and much cheaper options than.  What on earth are our board and sporting directors doing?

Although considerably older so you’d be looking to replace him in a few years which wouldn’t be the case with the Brazilian so probably not much in it financially.

Grealish would be cheaper than Asensio? Ooooook. Luiz a completely different type of player, but other than that makes complete sense.

I’m shocked to see you’re displeased about something though.

Grealish earned more at City than Asensio did at PSG.
