As ever though Tielemans was most effective at 10 in the 4th season because Diaby would make so many runs with his pace. Our front line right now looks like a race between Grant Holt and Gareth Barry. Add in Torres being so fucking slow Harry Redknapps gran just overtook him in the fruit and veg isle and Youri genuinely being unable to sprint further that 4-5 yards before waddling like a duck, pace wise we're fucked

And yet, we continue to sit Malan on the bench. I wonder if he’s one of the ones potentially going?

Clickbait linking us to Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado, no nor me! €30m bid submitted for the holding midfielder apparently.

Emery: “We have enough players, but we need to clarify with some players if they are staying or not, and the possibility we can add some to help us”.

This transfer window has been a shit show.  That we’re two games in and we don’t know who’s staying or going is ridiculous.

I look at Martinez, Watkins, Rogers and their body language and performances (esp the latter two) and wonder if they’re giving their all.

I think you’re projecting a bit. All the players aren’t playing great struggling. I don’t think it’s they’re not trying, but it feels very disjointed and we do look set up to succeed.

Maybe mate, but the drop off in our intensity is odd.

In regards to Emery’s comments, I can't imagine  that he'll want to lose any more senior players. Unless he was injured, Iling Jr didn't even make a bench that included 4 kids yesterday so I imagine he'll be off. I think Buendia will be off too. Nkunku is an interesting one. He had a decent scoring record before he joined Chelsea. I think Jackson would suit us more though and interestingly, Ganarcho hasn't gone anywhere yet.

Which would be a shitshow within a shitshow.
Not that I'd blame him for wanting to go after we've been yanking his chain for the last 8 months.

We’ve been off our best for a couple of games, but I don’t think there’s any need to jump to conclusions over it. We’ve had a rough summer as a club, it’s unsurprising that we’ve started as we have but I don’t think it’s cause for panic.

Think we could really do with getting a couple of players in, though … as a morale boost as much as anything.

Whats the hold up with Asensio, he wants to come and they want to sell. The whole team seems to be on edge. I can well believe that Martinez had been told a while ago that he was to be sold hense him being upset. What has Happened to our great game when a club has to sell even when we are in no financial danger. Man City seems to get away without penalty.

Hopefully this week we will sign a couple of players on loan that are good enough to go into our first 11

A holding midfielder is probably the last position I would have thought we needed cover for.

If we don’t bring 3 quality players in then we are going to be bang in trouble

Clear we are now at a total rebuild stage and refresh needed

Too many don’t have long term futures (even short term if offers were good)
Emi, Watkins

For me and I’ve said for a long time. It’s the lack of defensive improvements that’s frankly boiling my piss now.

RB we’ve need a huge upgrade for years and years.
Centre back - desperate for a physical, dominant CB with pace (Mings and Pau are not good enough imo)

Then looking further forward. Our lack of pace is huge issue. 100% cannot accept or stand Unai choosing McGinn as a RM or LM ever again

If we are at total rebuild phase, having been so close to being a proper contender, is classic Villa.
