So, we need to "clarify some circumstances."

Translation: it's a fucking mess and we don't know who's staying and who's leaving.

Responding to villa for life, I'd say it's as simple as he made a mistake, like every player does at some point or another.

Yes, a rush of blood to the head can happen to any player no matter how many big games he’s played.

I can see another big departure this week and 2 or 3 incoming as the dice is rolled . Something feels off .

I really liked what I saw of him pre-Chelsea and his last 2 seasons at Leipzig were really good. I don't think he's rubbish at all and hasn't really been given that much of a chance there.

Yeah, I think that is the bigger issue rather than him being "rubbish".

It's a big week whatever happens. For me Asensio makes us a better side than the one we've seen first 2 games. If we can get him, a pacey wide option and a centre half we'll be better off.

I’d prefer Jackson to Nkunku, but at this stage I am not to sure I trust the scouting too much.

No wonder they are playing within themselves. Not wanting to get injured, less than committed if unwanted?

Same, the misses outnumber the hits.

There’s no debate about it, if there’s any chance to get Asensio just get him in. We desperately need a spark in our attack. It also stops us wasting Tielemans.

Emery: “We have enough players, but we need to clarify with some players if they are staying or not, and the possibility we can add some to help us”.

This transfer window has been a shit show.  That we’re two games in and we don’t know who’s staying or going is ridiculous.

I look at Martinez, Watkins, Rogers and their body language and performances (esp the latter two) and wonder if they’re giving their all.
