I wouldn't be massively worried about competition from a team with Matty Cash as its starting right-back.

The team that finished sixth last season and fourth the season before that had Cash as its starting right-back

I remember. I don't imagine any of our rivals were worried about Matty Cash being our starting right-back.

He consistently did the job for us, spectacular in possession absolutely not but solid defensively then increasingly yes.

Something Kostas, Garcia it looks like, Disasi, Bogarde, Konsa did not in Emerys eyes anyway, whatever the zealots on here think.

The grief Cash gets on here compared to Konsa (RCB) as just one example is ridiculous.

Zealots! You'd think a man with such firm opinions of his own might have some understanding that not everyone always agrees. There is no 'grief' for Cash, just some people saying he's not that good, just as some people say Onana isn't that good, or Barkley or whoever. None of it matters.

You may get your wish, MC linked with a return to Forest this morning!

And to Forest, if they get Dougie as well, then they are a definite rival for top 7

Cash would be a big downgrade on their current right-back.

He would but he’d be a solid enough back up for Aina & also a good stand in during AFCON

Do you think moving to be backup for a team that finished below us last season is something he’d be keen on?

5 yr contract & 20k a week wage increase might swing it?

Can’t see any chance of Cash moving to Forest, far more likely to sign a new contract

So Forest are going to offer that for a reserve right back?

I repeat can we increase the numbers and quality in the squad rather than hollowing it out more.

Good time for Cash to angle for a new deal if that's his motivation. Sell him and replace him with?

🚨 NEW: Clubs interested in Nicolas Jackson are being told a loan with obligation may be possible under the right conditions — £10m loan fee.
@JacobsBen
£10m loan fee is way too high, and the wage-demands would push him out of our sphere of interest, I would have thought. I'll be filing this in the same place as the perennial Joao Felix rumours unless there's a fundamental shift in the money-needs of player and Chelsea.
Not if it comes with an option to buy and the sale price is adjusted accordingly.
I think I'd prefer to load the buy-price rather than pay so much upfront in loan fees ... but, I'm not in possession of all the data regarding what to pay, when, to manage SCR / PSR

Jackson sounds like he wants to come and almost did before, to work with Emery.

If we can make it work financially, it could be a good move.
