Definitely, especially as he had missed at least two at similar angles before then. Cut it across and that goal gets shown for the rest of the season.

Bailey was much better today.

Was even getting stuck into tackles first half.

Yeah, I thought he was fine today.

Blimey. He made tackles, that was it. He offered little going fwd, so far off it.

He pulled out some good saves from Kinsky first half, including the one Ramsey smashed into the post on the follow-up, and did really well with Malen for the second goal. Yes some decent attacks also died at his feet, but he was certainly closer to last season Bailey rather then this one.

Maybe re-watch the highlights as you might have forgotten.

Was at the game earlier and it was another great Villa Park occasion really.  Started really sharply and wete the better team throughout, but went up to a completely different level for 15-20 minutes when Rashford and Asensio came on before conceding our customary late goal.  Should have been well out of sight by then though.

Thought Garcia looked solid at RB and Bogarde did well when he came on.  Digne had a good game and I thought Tielemans and McGinn in particular were really good in central midfield.

Think the next few months could be fun!!

For all the fuss about Spurs injuries they have a bloody bug squad. They've maybe got a team of players out but they can still field a bunch of international standard with more on the bench.

It did, but also we'd have slaughtered Ollie if he missed half those chances, and, Spurs were shite.

However, it felt like we have another gear to go up once everyone clicks 100%, and most importantly we have options in attack.

We played some really sexy football at times and could have won this 5-1. The new players have given the place a buzz and we look like we are going to be a real handful when the injuries clear up.  Garcia was good today and looks a good purchase.  Cracking game, wish we were more ruthless at times but won at a canter. Tel looked good for them. Rogers is a class player.  SJM was back to his best. Very pleasing performance given the injuries, which were barely mentioned in comparison to Tottenham’s issues.
