We've got one for centre half, we'll be paying Tielemans holding when he's far better further forward, and no senior for right back. If we get a draw it will be a miracle. Garcia has to pay right back, Bogarde holding mid.
It won’t be a miracle to get a draw at Wolves. Defensive issues aside, we have Tielemans, Kamara, McGinn, Ramsey, Bogarde, all available in midfield and Rogers, Watkins, Bailey, Malen available up top. Not bad really and no miracles needed to put this lot away.

I could have sworn we were playing Wolves, the side that's 18th, lost 4 in a row, won 4 all season and have conceded 52 in 23 games which is only 1 better than the truly abysmal Southampton. We could play Olsen at CB and twat them.

We are usually shit at Wolves. We have loads of injuries in defence. As you yourself have said before, our defence isn't always reliable even when they are at full strength. We've only won one domestic away game since October. The last time we "twatted" a current Premier League team away from home, Dean Smith was still the manager, and Donald Trump was in his first term.

Of course, we could win. Even with our injuries, our team is better than theirs. Not sure why you'd be so desperate to castigate anyone for saying we won't pulverise them, though. The evidence suggests that Villa twatting Wolves is significantly less likely than Villa dropping points against Wolves.

It's bonkers to act like they are anything other than utter shit and as though us getting a result against them would be an act Moses (not Remi) would be proud of. The evidence shows that we are a far far better side than them, and as I originally said, it's up to us to show that as they'll be as shit as ever.

Which part of that post is incorrect? That they are shit or that if we do our job we win?

The arrogant, Man Unitedesque, assumption, not just of victory but of comfortable victory, despite evidence is incorrect, obviously. Ipswich, Monaco and Club Brugge are all shit, we didn't twat any of them.

It's hardly "bonkers" to suggest that it's possible that we might not win at a ground we've won once at since 2012.

What arrogance thinking a side in the CL and hoping to be there again next season will beat a shit side in 18th if we do our job.

There's thinking we might win and then there's...

We could play Olsen at CB and twat them.

Even that's fine but it's weird how you wanted to criticise anyone who didn't share your fervour.

Of course in your posting career you've never once used humour and hyperbole to exaggerate a point.

They replied to me, so I replied. It's how a forum works. I made a statement that no one has said is wrong on the pre-match thread and it was others that disagreed.

It was post after post of how offended you were that anyone thought we might not win  that was just a hyperbolic example.

They don't seem very interested in that manufactured rivalry any more. Strange that.

You mean 2 reply posts before you decided to wade in? Yep, you never use hyperbole.

They're massive twats. I hope we twat them. I suspect we won't and it was madness letting Carlos go before we signed a centre-half. We will see.

Yup - it’s absolutely true that we’re a better side and if we play to our best we’ll win. But we have been patchy this year, we regularly struggle after European games, we’ve got terrible away form, we’ve got loads of injuries, and we’ve made the situation worse by choosing to weaken ourselves at centre half. It’s on us to turn up, but there’s plenty of head winds here.

I'd be delighted if we shitfest an undeserved win against the run of play. Can't remember the last time we did that. Mind you, I don't think we're set up for shitfesting. We need to win 5-4.
