Wolverhampton Wanderers v Aston Villa Pre Match Thread
« on: January 30, 2025, 03:07:49 PM »
Saturday KO 17.30 Live on Skysports.

Tricky one after the highs of last night and would be very typical given our record against them to be bought down to earth.

Alternatively it could be we are on a high and steamroller into this one with Ollie having new found vigour now that Jhon is off.

1-2.

Edit sorry can someone add Villa to the Aston bit - I thought it was going to auto update and it didn't.

Is Aston the same as when knuckleheads refer to Man U as Manchester?

The one name any genuine Manchester United supporter would never refer to them is Man U. They hate it! Easy way to identify glory hunters.

All the Wolves fans who I work with are convinced we are going to steamroller them. I have of course set them straight.

Can we unsettle Cunah by making a bid on Friday night so that he's left out of their team?
Could be the difference in a draw or a defeat.

Can't see us wininng, we never really do there and they'll have had extra time to impart their gameplan like WHam did on Sunday. All things being equal i.e rest and recovery, we'd have got 6 points from these two games. As it is, we're probably looking at 1 or 2.

They will sing their little songs pretending to be Small Heath, and we will funeral them.

Wolves' traditional only good performance of the season + no defenders available = home win.

I have a feeling its going to be a flat performance as we put so much in Wednesday  night. Would be understandable though considering.  We certainly  will need some rotation but not may options as we have let a hell of a lot of players go and not bought  anyone in. Was hoping at least get one in today to be registered  in time for wolves. Unlikley  now
