I was going to try to come up with a lineup, but I’ve no clue what kind of defence Villa will be able to cobble together.

4-4

Guess it will be Bogarde, Konsa, Kamara, Digne

Hopefully the new players start for this game. And the likes of McGinn, who has been out for a while, and Maatsen start too. We're always slow after a CL game, and we really need to start making up ground on the top 5.

Side note - I saw last night that various results mean the coefficient is looking very good for 5th place this season. Which unfortunately we might need.

So this is another game with one fit centre back. Now, Bouba did brilliantly the other day but obviously him being back there weakens the the midfield.

Due a swashbuckling performance here. However my optimism always dissipates as I approach J10. One apiece as per last season.

Living in Wordsley I m surrounded by them. They hardly peep before we play them. always acting that "we'me only likkle these days and the Villa is bestest" then ramp up some imaginary rivalry for 48 hours before slinking off again. Simply maintaining a dignified and disdainful demeanour around the oiks works.

I a, confident that will not be how we line up. Maatsen is too much of a risk and would seem crazy to drop Watkins.

I'm surprised they don't get fined more by Uefa for their flares.

As the Ford Capri disappears into the distance, belching smoke, black and gold fully dice swinging from the rear view mirror, you can just about make out distant singing from the occupants, something about a gap......

It'll do a U turn if they get anything against us tomorrow, the toothless driver tooting and laughing no doubt and with our injury situation confidence is dented somewhat. The euphoria of midweek will be a benefit or a scourge and the conundrum of where to play Kamara is key. I'd be tempted to keep him in the back line and try to be solid, giving confidence to the forwards. It'll be tougher than it really should be.

1-1

That 'joke' isn't viable anymore though is it.  And there is a very obvious musical riposte given their league position.

I think we will batter them.
