Number 16. Garcia on the bench for us. I guess we dont see him playing today but he is in before Ned then. I m happy about a new RB but question is if someone costing no more then he did can be a regular sterter.

Unai Emery has said : "But the first requirement is to be a TEAM. And in this beautiful four-lettered word there is no place for anyone that won't be a good team-mate, for anyone that won't understand the meaning of effort, generosity and responsibility."

Is this a real quote from Emery?

It’s very All Blacks and I like it.  The All Blacks also have an emphasis on a four letter word with their “No c**ts” rule, regardless of how good the player is.

Golden opportunity to play Malen today against massively makeshift back four.  Don’t understand that one at all.

Hasn't Unai tended to ease all our Jan transfers in rather than starting them in the first few weeks?
... Other than Rogers ...

Can't believe Watkins, Rogers and Bailey instead of Duran, Buendia and Malan. What is the point of having a squad. It's Martin O'Neil all over again.

I think the league is more of a prority than CL now. As i think for the club its vital we get CL again.

But  its going to be very frustrating  if the teams the same Wednesday  night ans we dont win because twams knackered

If it is . so why play Bailey and hopefully Rogers doesnt look leggy .

I know Bailey has been bad but Malen hasn't played in the Premier League before. Look at Man City's new guy yesterday. Quite a lot of games lately we've been crying out for someone to bring on around 60 minutes to run at a tired back line, seems like Malen off the bench, in this game in particular, is a pretty good option.

Quote
Ollie Watkins has been involved in 99 Premier League goals in 168 appearances for Aston Villa (69 goals, 30 assists).

If he scores or assists in this game he’ll be the fastest player to 100 goal involvements since Kevin de Bruyne in July 2020 (155th game) - and fastest Englishman since Harry Kane in November 2017 (128th game).

West Ham look like they are trying to squeeze the midfield to prevent us from threatening their paper thin defence
