Id have gone with duran , Malen and Buendia for Ollie , Rogers ( needs a rest) and Bailey ( waste of a player at moment )    but probbaly be 3 0 now with goals from Bailey , Rogers and Ollie ( touch wood)

Good to see 2 new faces on bench tho and Mcginn there who we missed against Monaco .

Someone needs to put a reducer on that cheating bastard Paqueta early doors.

No question

No sure carrying a yellow for most of the match is a good plan is it?

Not sure if Emery is trying to make some point with Duran, but surely he needs to start at some point if only to keep his head in the game? We can debate who is the better striker, but throw the man a bone.
The pints been made and sooner people accept reality and also respect Emery and coaching team judgement then sooner can have an understanding.

Unai Emery has said : "But the first requirement is to be a TEAM. And in this beautiful four-lettered word there is no place for anyone that won't be a good team-mate, for anyone that won't understand the meaning of effort, generosity and responsibility."

I hope that completely clarifies why Duran isn't starting

I assume that Bailey starting is punishment for his last performance.

Good to see McGinn on the bench.
Great, isn't it? Hope he can get some game time  before the Celtic game that he's apparently desperate to play in!

Agree that sort of talk is embarrassing and it's 2025.
Let football do the talking . Controling the game and has Emery said use our 5 senses.

I think need to move on with the foul and kick players attitude it's very outdated and could even lead to a sending off for one of our players.
Why not focus on tactics and be more constructive and progressive in how to deal with Paqueta.

I thought he may start Duran and Malen so that a couple can be rested before the Celtic game, we have gone strong so hope we can have a decent lead after 60 minutes and then make some changes.

I think we’re playing it safe because he could be sold

He has scored in three of the four starts he has in the Prem and the one he didn't was because a ref couldn't wait to make a decision.

Disappointed that Unai wants a player in, we get the player in, and he decides not to play him. Especially when Bailey has had multiple chances this season. Surely he has had enough training sessions to know how he is expected to play by now.
