Looks a really good signing, miles above Kosta so far. Tidy on ball, big mistake aside, and strong. Big pre season ahead to get fitter.

Cash though brought a bit of menace to our defence when he came on, still our best option at RB.
Agree on all this

Think we maybe need to get away from thinking either / or playing and think of them both featuring at different times in games in the same way Digne and Maatsen do.

I think Cash struggles a bit with playing full games now, but can bring energy into a game like he did last night.  Horrendous error aside, I thought Garcia did well again and think the combination of him starting and Cash coming on could work well.

For a lad that's come from the Spanish second division to hold his own amongst some truly great players is testimony to the potential that lies ahead for him.  It seems like he's quick learner and will only get better.

agreed - also the fact that McGinn (who up till then was having a mare himself) made a point of consoling him was really good to see

I'm sure that was the intention for Digne and Maatsen but Maatsen is firmly the backup as he hasn't performed when given chances.

Cash is increasingly suffering with injuries but he's easily first choice when fit. I thought he proved that again when he came on last night. He's a very solid PL right back these days, limitations in the attacking third aside. I think Garcia is proving, at maybe 20% of Maatsen's cost, is that he can be relied upon to come in for Cash, I think he's better in the attacking third too. The drop off with Kosta/Bogarde/Konsa at RB looks a thing of the past.

Barring the major clanger I thought Garcia had an excellent game , to jump from Spain div 2 and play at the top end of the Prem like that is impressive and he's only going to improve over the next couple of years.

I like the look of him but if he has no left foot, why does he so frequently end up thinking about using it? He then has to turn his whole body, a la Cash, and any attacking momentum disappears.

Goals 2 and 3. He's definitely got a left foot.

He's done very well so far apart from that one mistake I think he will only get better and be a great signing for us.

From what I've seen so far I'm just disappointed he's not in the Champions League squad.

I'd already forgotten about this. Same. Hopefully Cash can stay fit or we can all have the fun Konsa at RB discussions again.

Rodri (is that his name?) acted the cvnt when Rashford joined us, mocking him on social media for his "fall from grace."

Think it was Ryan’s brother not his son who had a pop at Marcus.
