Looks a really good signing, miles above Kosta so far. Tidy on ball, big mistake aside, and strong. Big pre season ahead to get fitter.

Cash though brought a bit of menace to our defence when he came on, still our best option at RB.

Think we maybe need to get away from thinking either / or playing and think of them both featuring at different times in games in the same way Digne and Maatsen do.

I think Cash struggles a bit with playing full games now, but can bring energy into a game like he did last night.  Horrendous error aside, I thought Garcia did well again and think the combination of him starting and Cash coming on could work well.

I'm sure that was the intention for Digne and Maatsen but Maatsen is firmly the backup as he hasn't performed when given chances.

Cash is increasingly suffering with injuries but he's easily first choice when fit. I thought he proved that again when he came on last night. He's a very solid PL right back these days, limitations in the attacking third aside. I think Garcia is proving, at maybe 20% of Maatsen's cost, is that he can be relied upon to come in for Cash, I think he's better in the attacking third too. The drop off with Kosta/Bogarde/Konsa at RB looks a thing of the past.

You see it more in modern rugby where especially forwards are categorused as 'starters' and 'finishers'. Digne for Maatsen is a change Emery makes in most games and I think we will see the same approach on the right now as well.  I personally think that coming on for 30 or so minutes suits Cash really well, as shown the other night and I think Garcia starting with Cash coming on could well be the approach we see going forward.

Bringing Moreno in to replace Digne worked wonders for Digne, which I assume was not the plan. If García can keep Cash on the bench, then it's good for us, if Cash does like Digne and manages to keep García on the bench, then that's good for us too.

It's funny to think that as the window was closing, García probably seemed like the least interesting of our signings. Even with the talk of someone being left out of the CL squad, most were concerned about Malen. A few weeks later and, given he's a permanent signing, García is starting to look like potentially the best buy this winter, and the biggest loss from the CL squad.

He’s been excellent. I’m trying to think of a player that has come in from abroad l, and appeared to have “settled “ so quickly. It looks like he s played for us for a couple of seasons.

I think Moreno settled pretty quickly and had dislodged Digne as a starter before he got injured.

I really like this young man.  Looks like he's settling in well and adapting nicely.

Yes , you’re right, he did. I still find it strange how his career has dipped. He was so good for us that second half of the season

Agreed, solid cameo again. Cash seemed to be limping coming off so we might see more of Garcia starting again very soon.

Based on last night, I'd play him instead of Cash.

I'd imagine more often than not, we will, but not in the CL, so Cash will need to get game time too, to make sure he's up to speed for the Bruges games.

Makes sense, as he can't play in the CL games.

Someone posted selfies with Andrés on Facebook, after spotting him in IKEA last week, getting furniture for his new pad on Hagley Road or wherever.

Special mention for this lad he has settled in so well given the level he is now operating at.

Which makes his sub for Bailey last game even more frustrating.
