Does the business on his debut. Pity that Guessand header didn't go in.

Yep, bonkers.

Agree, particularly as there's nearly 2 weeks of the transfer window left. No need to push Malen out the door so quickly.

I am not sure if anyone is exactly sure as to the constraints we are operating under?

Maybe he had to go, and Roma said they weren’t prepared to wait.

We have to sell before we can buy.

We have to sell before we can buy.

Do we have to sell before we’ve identified a replacement?

The issue with buying before selling is if the sale doesn't happen as expect after we have bought a player we could immediately fall foul of the UEFA rules. We can't afford to do that as we have already been warned about a stiffer penalty. So as shit as it is we need to move players out first.

I would make a pretty strong argument for not signing players rather than selling Malen. But losing him before this game was just daft.

It all depends how it pans out. Malen was hardly a world beater, he only started 7 league games and only scored against crap teams. If we get someone that can be more of a more regular starter and that can score against anyone better than Brighton it will most likely work out well long term. If we sign no one, or another Guessand, then it will look a hell of a lot shitter.

Everton are worse than Brighton, so selling him a couple of days later might have been useful today.

It would have been good if someone had scored against the crap team we played today.
