I think Malen has done ok for his minutes on the pitch.
There must be someone definitely in the wings to replace him.

Has he formally gone? I notice that Vaz has been confirmed as going to Roma.

As he was in Rome last night i'd say it's a tad unlikely he will be.

Just goes to show the limitations to a degree Unai is working with compared to Guardiola hoovering up whatever he wants for unlimited squad depth. We meanwhile are contemplating putting a child on the bench as back up striker in a title race.

Emery is a genius.

To be honest I think it’s overly simplistic to look across the entirety of his time here and question his effectiveness. He’s very clear “upped his game” in recent months, as he’s got more familiar with the play. He had a bad game at Chelsea, but generally has made a real impact of late. Reality is he gives us something different, it might not be a direct replacement for Ollie, but across the forward line.

Exactly. Ollie doesn't set the Buendia goal up at Spurs as he just doesn't move and think at that pace in a team move, maybe Tammy might I don't know. Malen sped the whole game up which created a lot of space for others in the second halves of games.

Exactly x 2. Just what Ollie Watkins-lite will bring in other than another high wage on a ridiculously long contract, I fail to see. We missed the boat yet insist no matter the cost to get back on it. Thankfully we've got money to burn.
