When you have so many sides interested  in marley it does make you wonder  why the hell are we selling him right now?

I dont get it ffp or not

Clearly there is a lot of interest.  But he only has one love.

But if we end up bringing in a couple of extra attackers, we're jamming a lot of players into those few positions.

There are times when our keeper has to kick it long, Tammy would have a chance of keeping possession, that isn't the case with Malen.
Holding the ball in general play,Tammy.Better passer,Malen.
Pressing, tackling and set pieces in both boxes,Tammy.
A loss of pace if we sign Tammy,I can't remember many occasions when Malen has broke clear of a defence and scored. No difference.
Better in the air,Tammy, better finisher in the box,Malen.
The PSR gain would be a bonus but should not be an influence in deciding who is a better replacement for Ollie when he is not available. My choice would be Tammy.

These rumours are just journalists looking to stir it up. Proper click bait. Given the PSR restrictions I think we  might be waiting in vain for signings.

He wants more starting football in lead up to world cup and hes our most flexible pawn to use this month for incoming. PSR we are absolutely fine by miles but its SCR thats killing us. To register anyone new for later stages etc means their value in has to be balanced with value out

Still expect elliott to go back also but probably late on in the day

We're selling because he has too many nights on the tiles.

If he is going then we must have a replacement lined up, someone better suited to the way we play?

It might be that. But if you look at the players who are kind of on the fringe, that might be saleable assets that we can then use the financial room to get other players in, Malen is certainly one of them. Buendia probably the other. We'd be losing our heads if Tielemans was off to Saudi by comparison. If we cannot shift Elliott we might need to do something a little more drastic as disappointing as it might be moving on from Malen.

Atleti now sniffing around the Don.

I would expect quite a few clubs are interested in our fire sale. Even if the reported asking price is £26m it's still ridiculously cheap, at least £10m undervalued. If he was at another club we'd be all over it. Whilst Malen doesn't do the things Watkins can do, the opposite can also be said. Malen allows us to play a different way, something I'd have thought Unai would love. Plus few players have the impact Malen has when coming off the bench, as I've said countless time times, he makes things happen.

Tammy, lovely fella that he is, is more Watkins-lite, especially since he did his ACL. His wage demands will likely be the same if not more than Malen's rumoured £140k. If it is true we're paying him that, somebody needs to give their head a wobble. I doubt he was even on half of that at Dortmund.
