Signing two kids, losing out on Gallagher to SPURS then potentially letting Malen go, would definitely rival summer 25 as our worst window of recent years.

Those kids are hopeful investments, be it on field or for future windows.

There's absolutely no way we get out of the financial hell hole we're in by continuing to bring in hugely expensive assets that might work for a season or two. We need to learn to stand on our own two feet, because it's unlikely the rules are going to help us out.

Unai will be asked why our transfer dealings were so disappointing, and he'll explain that the club wasn't able to block TV's Wi-Fi signal.

Sorry but he needs to do much more. Was good on Saturday and played well a few times so far this season but has been as anonymous as Sancho in as many games.  He has something about him but just not consistent enough and certainly not a lone, centre forward. Not a popular view I appreciate, but all about opinions.

I agree he's not a lone centre forward and I don't think he 'fits' with us (especially at the cost of a top earner) but as anonymous as Sancho? 0 goals and assists Sancho? I'm not sure how you can reach that conclusion.

it would be an awful start to the window - but there's time.

As anonymous as Sancho in many games.  Read it properly 😜

If it's true then it's a shame Malen is off.

I can only assume our Unai has an Ace up his sleeve.

'as anonymous in as many games' still doesn't really apply.

We need better than Malen. He will want more than he gets but he's not good enough to get it with us.

I think he’s a good player, but he’s an expensive impact sub at the moment.

PSR again. PSR again. PSR again, PSR again, PSR again.

According to reports in Italy we're only asking €18m (£15.6m). We must be skint and desperate if true.
£24 million is the latest according to BBC football gossip

You never criticise any of our players!

And yet the season will end with our Unai delivering us our first trophy in 30 years*

* apart from the holy trinity of the Intertoto, the Peace Cup and that other pre-season one with the weird trophy held aloft by John Terry, I think, of a bloke bursting out of a football.

He’s moving to them for London (closer to his home), money (his wages are ridiculous), and more game time than he’d get with us (needs to try to resurrect his England World Cup prospects). We were only after a loan deal so £40m permanent deal is obviously a lot better for Athletico. He’s a bang average player so bullet dodged IMO.

Re Malen - He wasn’t registered in last years CL squad so does this benefit us from a FSR perspective?  From memory their punishment was benchmarked against last years euro squad.
