Nice lad but I struggle to see how he fits in to the way Unai sets us up. Definitely not an out and out striker and not defensive enough to be placed on the right.

If it happens then hope it works out for both parties.

We definitely need to replace him and if it's an upgraded signing then fair play for moving a player on at the right time and getting money back. If we go down the route of just relying on Watkins again then it's a terrible idea.

Tammy back? Not sure on him at all.

Tammy would just replace Duran imo.

Despite his average form Ollie Watkins is available for pretty much every single game which we take for granted a bit so it's not been a huge issue but could still do with a competant back up for now and next season.

Not sure what we're going to do if Malen leaves but Guessand is back now and has started plenty of games on the right already so clearly has Emery's trust in that position if no one elses. Isn't there some talk Roma want to send Bailey back so that's where it gets a little bit odd. We take back Bailey and send them Malen.....

Dosen't strike me as improving the squad at all.

Guessand regularly starting is a terrifying prospect. I might be wrong from memory his starts were on the wane weren’t they?

Any path that leads to Guessand playing more minutes is the wrong path.

We should only let Malen go if another forward is definitely incoming first. I'll be a disappointed if Malen leaves as he's done ok this season and scored goals. We'll miss his burst of pace.

This is absolutely fucking nuts.

We saw a couple of days ago the impact he can have, so why on earth move him on?

Insane.

Exactly - he’s bedded in now and really impacting games. He also has pace which we really lack.

Sorry but he needs to do much more. Was good on Saturday and played well a few times so far this season but has been as anonymous as Sancho in as many games.  He has something about him but just not consistent enough and certainly not a lone, centre forward. Not a popular view I appreciate, but all about opinions.

Also worth noting that he's NEVER injured. Will Tammy be available for as many games as the Don?

Can't play up top on his own, unless the opposition are absolute drek and stand 5 yards off us. I like him, if PSR wasn't a factor then I'd keep him, but we're a much better side with Watkins in it and we need a centre forward who can match how he leads the line.

With the man bunned weirdo opting for Tottingham hopefully we don't need to move the Don on.

Problem we have is that you have to pay very good forward players to be happy on the bench, we don't really have that luxury and likely never will. Malen felt like as good an option in that regard as we can afford.
