Great performance tonight. Seemed like the players were trying a bit too hard to get him his hat-trick at the start of the second half. Wonder what he'll think when he's on the bench again Sunday.

I’m less worried about Ollie because of the form of this guy

I don’t know why people say he’s not the answer upfront He ticks a lot of boxes for a center forward for me
He’s a very good finisher, he can control a football and has a decent touch, He’s direct he’s mobile he’s physically strong He’s good in the air, he looks to have a good character and is a good team player,
I was particularly impressed with the way he handled getting cut on the head last night and didn’t roll all over the floor making a big mither out of it
My only criticism last night is he should have scored more with the opportunities he had

I just see a good centre forward playing upfront and scoring goals, that’s not to say he can’t play off a striker or wider but he’s every bit doing the job you expect from a centre forward

(By the way is it Center Forward or Centre Forward, I’ve used both of my post just to mix up a bit)

Depends on whether you're talking American or not. Centre for us non-Americans.

(agree with all your Malen points. Very happy for him now that he seems to be thriving)

Was going to say something similar but you put it better than me. He seems to have very quick feet. Good first touch and adept at getting the ball out for a shot before defenders can react. Can finish too. I really like him.

I think we are going to have to find a way of playing him as a centre forward.
It might need some tactical adjustments.

I like that he went back to their fans with a smile after the second. Have that, dickheads.

Perhaps he could play in the hole?

The form he is in he deserves to be starting every game atm. If someone needs dropping so be it, he is offering us so much and our goals scored is one of the lowest in the top half of the league.

As much as I love Ollie, surely Malen has to start. He strikes the ball so cleanly and he’s very positive when the balls at his feet. He may not do the hard graft and pressing Ollie can do and he might not hold the ball up so well, but when we’re playing balls through the channels or central he’s on them at speed. He’s very exciting to watch.
